HALEO | Arguments for Daylight Saving Time - Radio Canada's Toujours le matin
0:33

The Quebec government is considering ending daylight saving time, a decision supported by Dr. Maude Bouchard, neuropsychologist at HALEO. She points out that the economic reasons for keeping it are less relevant today, while the negative impact on sleep is still significant, especially for children, shift workers, and those with sleep disorders.

She believes that keeping Eastern Standard Time would be ideal, as morning light is beneficial for the brain. On November 3rd, Quebecers may turn back their clocks for the last time.
