HALEO | Is the time change over in Quebec? - Radio-Canada

The Quebec government is considering putting an end to the practice of changing time in Quebec. Dr. Maude Bouchard, neuropsychologist at HALEO, supports this decision. She points out that economic reasons are less important today, while the disruption of sleep, even by a single hour, has many harmful consequences for the entire population.

In her view, keeping Eastern Standard Time would be ideal, as morning light aligns our bodies with the brain's biological clock, enabling optimal functioning. On November 3, Quebecers will turn back the clock for what may well be the last time.
