While some might think that we gain an hour with the time change, Dr. Maude Bouchard, neuropsychologist and sleep specialist at HALEO, argues the opposite. The effects on sleep and on the biological clock that regulates the body's actions are major. According to Dr. Bouchard, the time change should be eliminated for the good of the population and to improve sleep in general. Some other Canadian provinces have already taken this step.

In this Radio-Canada interview, Dr. Bouchard takes the opportunity to advise on techniques to improve sleep. While it's true that insomnia and sleep disorders are more prevalent than ever in the Canadian population, there are simple, effective solutions that can solve the problem.
